Duties/Responsibilities
- Work with Sales Executive to provide updates on upcoming submissions and request any outstanding items
- Follow-up with carriers so that new quotes are delivered on a timely basis; negotiates coverage/pricing/add-ons; verifies returned quotes match requested coverage.
- Track marketing activities with complete applications, correspondence, and other required forms
- Provide top 3-5 quotes and any specifically requested quotes to Sales Executive
- Create proposals timely to allow Sales Executive to make revisions; consistently accurate information is provided in the proposal
- Bind coverage on sold policy; submit standard 'no-go' letters to other quoting carriers; turns account over to assigned Account Executive
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers
- Proven understanding and following of SOPs and Best Practices
Position Requirements
- Insurance knowledge with comfort in discussing coverage with underwriters and insureds
- Strong PC skills, with the ability to effectively utilize the agency's management systems, Microsoft software products, and carrier resources
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, changing environment
- Pro-active, with the initiative to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to function well in a high-paced, and at times, stressful environment
- Active Property and Casualty Insurance Producer License
- Minimum Previous 5 years’ experience as a successful Commercial Lines Account Executive
- Proven commitment to continuous insurance education and growth
