Duties
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents with professionalism and a friendly attitude, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food handling stations in compliance with health regulations
- Support the dietary team by bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and ensuring dining areas are well-organized and inviting
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent contamination during meal service
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Contribute to a positive dining experience through attentive customer service and respectful interactions with residents
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation practices
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle meal schedules during evening shifts
- Experience in food handling, cooking, or culinary roles is advantageous
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents’ needs
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
