Summary: Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Senior Loan Processor III at its corporate office in Melville, Long Island. The Senior Loan Processor III is responsible for managing the residential loan documentation process from the point of application through processing. The role will also contact the Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) and/or mortgage broker to collect necessary documentation and act as liaison among the origination staff, underwriters, and customers.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare a full package of initial disclosures that comply with applicable regulations.
- Ensure all income, asset and credit documentation are complete prior to submission to underwriting.
- Order appraisal reports, tax report verifications, and income and employment verifications.
- Coordinate clearing all underwriting conditions with the MLO, broker, and customer.
- Monitor pipeline reports to ensure loans are advanced through the system timely.
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly accounting/operational reports for the department.
- Train new hires.
- Process consumer loans.
- Ensure all HMDA reportable data for both originated and non-originated loans is accurate by comparing HMDA cods to source documents. Research any discrepancies and update the HMDA LAR file through the Loan Origination System (Encompass).
- Work on special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Residential Mortgage Lending.
- Complete knowledge of Fannie Mae and SONYMA guidelines.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable consumer laws including RESPA, Truth in Lending, Regulation B, HMDA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate well with bank attorneys, investors, and third-party vendors.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation software, Encompass, Fannie Mae DU, Black Knight or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Desktop Underwriter system or equivalent.
