What are the responsibilities and job description for the Screw Machine Operator position at DimcoGray Corporation?
DimcoGray is an ISO 9001:2015 registered plastic molding located in Centerville, Ohio. The company specializes in compression and injection molding processes and has been in business over 90 years. DimcoGray is currently seeking a Screw Machine Operator.
DimcoGray would prefer candidates have previous screw machine experience. However, DimcoGray does offer a training program for those candidates with strong mechanical aptitudes and are interested in learning to operate a screw machine. Those candidates entering training program would require a time commitment to DimcoGray beyond training program time.
Job Description:
To be able to set up jobs and run Davenport Screw machines, producing parts according to specifications. Change gears and cams to print if job will not run. Keep machines clean and perform preventive maintenance as necessary. Load machines and check production. Make repairs and/or modifications to machines, insuring that machines are kept in running order to prevent costly downtime.
Perform other related miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements for the position:
- Prefer 5 years screw machine experience or willing to enter training program
- Prefer high school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer strong mechanical aptitude
- Able to read blue prints, micrometers and gauges
- Able to work in a mechanically oriented situation while following supervisor instructions
- General knowledge of basic math
- Able to input data into computer
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds on occasion

Pay is negotiable based on experience.
