What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printer Repair Technician position at DiMAX?
We are a locally owned technology services provider operating in Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, and we are currently seeking an Experienced Printer/Copier Technician to join our growing team. If you're someone with strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and a background in copier and printer service and repair, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of copiers, printers, and multifunction devices
- Install and configure new office equipment at client locations
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on copier and printer hardware
- Troubleshoot mechanical and image quality issues, replacing parts and consumables as necessary
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports
- Educate clients on proper use and care of office equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
- Stay current on updates and training for supported hardware and software
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience servicing and repairing office copiers and printers
- Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and carry tools/parts as needed
- Technical certifications from copier manufacturers are a plus
