Schedule: In accordance with the AFSCME Utility Schedule
Pay Rate: Relative to experience and in accordance with the AFSCME Custodian Salary Schedule
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tools
- Knowledge of HVAC systems highly preferred
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Current authorization to work in the U.S.
- Valid Driver’s License (Favorable driving record, CORi/SORi and fingerprinting results)
Job Summary:
- Responsible for assisting in all duties related to the upkeep of school facilities
- Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining a MA 7D license (District paid)
- Ability to safely and confidently work with moving machinery
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
- Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs, squatting, crawling at least 50% of the shift, and standing 75% of shift (Based on 8-10 hour shift)
- Ability to safety and confidently work around moving machinery so as to avoid accidents to yourself and others
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and crawling at least 50% of shift. Requires 75% of shift (Based on 8-10 hour shift)
