Overview:
Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School, a proud member of the Mayflower Athletic Conference, is seeking an experienced Boys Freshman Basketball Coach. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a deep understanding of the game, and a commitment to supporting student-athletes in both athletics and academics.
Qualifications:
- Prior successful coaching experience.
- Strong basketball knowledge, leadership, and communication skills.
- Has demonstrated student-athlete and program success at previous coaching jobs.
- Completed N.F.H.S. fundamental sports specific course, including concussion, prior to the start of the season.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all freshman practices and games with emphasis on teaching fundamental basketball skills, team concepts,
Sportsmanship, and work ethic.
- Build strong relationships with student-athletes and monitor academic performance.
- Attend all varsity regular season and playoff games.
- Collaborate with the varsity and junior varsity coach for program consistency.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and competitive team environment.
- Foster communication among players, families, athletic training staff, and administration.
- Ensure compliance with MIAA and school athletic policies.
