Duties:
- Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
- Meets warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Responsible for ordering supplies, for both the warehouse and the offices including but not limited to shipping supplies, janitorial supplies, office supplies, etc.
- Responsible for maintenance of utilities of the building such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc. as well as vehicles.
- Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
- Maintains inventory by conducting daily cycle counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.
- Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
- Secures warehouse by turning alarms on and ensuring the system is functioning properly. Be the primary point of contact for system alerts as it relates to the security system, day or night.
- Gets hands dirty by working in the warehouse to accomplish shipping/Receiving goals. Work with and alongside your team to accomplish all that needs to be done and all that can be done each day.
- Participates in ongoing educational opportunities regarding company policies and practices.
- Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by meeting company expectations.
- Reports to the Operations Manager out of Raleigh, NC.
