Dillon Floral Corporation is a FLORAL WHOLESALER. We provide the necessary products to our customers with Exceptional Personal Care to help them succeed in their floral business.
We are looking for a PART TIME - OVERNIGHT Delivery Driver. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, no additional certifications necessary.
Parcel delivery driving experience of at least 1 year is required. (Ride share and food delivery service experience WILL NOT be considered as relevant experience.)
Our drivers are responsible for delivering our WHOLESALE FLORAL PRODUCTS overnight to our customers, mainly retail florists, throughout PA, NY, NJ, and MD. Deliveries are made in nearly all weather conditions between 7PM and 6AM using Ford Transit vans. Delivery runs average 300-400 miles a night.
We are looking for candidates who are naturally helpful people, detailed oriented, dependable and are able to solve problems on the road independently.
Dillon Floral Corporation is a drug-free workplace. Please do not apply if you cannot pass a drug screening test. Medical marijuana cards are unable to be accepted.
What you'll be doing on a typical shift:
- Loading your van for your designated route
- Making 10-20 stops per night, following a specified route using a GPS device
- Delivering 10-20 boxes per stop (can exceed 50 boxes around flower holidays)
- Driving 300-400 miles per shift during the nighttime
- Completing delivery paperwork upon arrival of destination
- Reading and following written delivery instructions provided by the customer
- Loading and unloading product from your van
- Retrieving recyclables from previous deliveries
- Fueling of your designated van and reporting all mechanical issues to the Fleet Team Manager
- Lifting and maneuvering boxed products weighing 10-50lbs.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license.
- Parcel delivery driving experience of at least 1 year is required. (Ride share and food delivery service experience WILL NOT be considered as relevant experience.)
- Availability for shifts ranging from 10-12hrs.
- Ability to physically lift and safely maneuver up to 50lbs of product.
- Ability to operate a Ford Transit van overnight for 10 hrs.
- If an offer of employment is made, the candidate must pass a drug screening test and background check.
Part-time drivers work up to 3 nights per week.*
Delivery nights: Monday into Tuesday, Wednesday into Thursday, Thursday into Friday, Friday into Saturday.
*Additional shifts and holidays may be asked of PT drivers based on the needs of the business.
