Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated English/Spanish speaking and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment, all while delivering exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
  • Perform dental radiography (X-rays, CBCT) and ensure proper medical imaging protocols are followed.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix software to optimize patient flow.
  • Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Take and record vital signs as needed prior to treatments.
  • Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, focusing on creating a comfortable experience for young patients.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to enhance overall patient satisfaction and office efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dental assisting or completion of a recognized dental assistant program.
  • Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation, and aseptic techniques.
  • Familiarity with general dentistry practices as well as pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform medical imaging procedures safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
