Job Overview
Our company is currently seeking an Assistant Culinary Production Manager that wants to be part of a small team and make a difference. You need to have a positive attitude, a good work ethic and be team oriented to carry out various tasks in our busy production facility. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical aptitude and be able to effectively communicate with good attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for batch production of our outstanding food products, quality testing & recording, operating production line equipment and material handling equipment. Duties
- Preparing raw materials for production
- Preparing batch sheets / recipes
- Feeding raw materials into cooking production machinery
- Monitoring of food production
- Carry out quality and testing checks
- Store goods and raw materials properly in our warehouse
- Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to move product
- Daily cleaning of equipment & maintenance of work areas
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2 year culinary or food science degree; or 4 years of experience
- 2 years' experience working in a food cooking / preparation field preferred
- Familiar with Good Management Practices (GMP’s)
- Experience / knowledge of Regulatory documentation required by the FDA, OSHA and SQF
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Demonstrates strong foresight and anticipates potential issues
- Competent in both taking direction and offering clear, concise instruction to others
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
- Able to work on feet for extended periods of time
- Able to maintain productivity and quality while performing repetitive, physically rigorous kitchen support duties.
- A driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation
- Forklift certified or able to obtain forklift certification.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
