The Business Development Representative at our Zillah, WA location plays a critical role in supporting and growing customer relationships while operating with a high level of independence. This position is designed for a motivated, organized, and business-savvy professional who can manage priorities with day-to-day oversight. This position requires strong judgment, accountability, and the ability to proactively manage a book of business while collaborating remotely with larger internal teams.

 

The ideal candidate brings both industry knowledge and professional maturity, and is comfortable representing the company autonomously with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined book of business

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, ensuring consistent, proactive communication

  • Build trusted, long-term customer relationships through regular calls, visits, and strategic follow-up

  • Identify customer needs and provide thoughtful solutions across products, services, and programs

  • Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Design) to execute customer initiatives efficiently

  • Support onboarding of new accounts transitioned from Sales, ensuring a smooth and professional handoff

  • Maintain detailed account notes, activity tracking, follow-ups, and forecasting with a high degree of accuracy

  • Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events as required

  • Represent the company professionally within the local market and broader region

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with leadership and cross-functional teams

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related field

  • 5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a smaller, satellite office environment

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Professional communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the coffee, foodservice, beverage, or hospitality industry

  • Working knowledge of sales systems, CRM tools, and account management platforms

  • Experience supporting customers across multiple locations or territories

  • Comfort traveling independently and representing the company externally
