Bakery Production

The Bakery Production position is responsible for the preparation, production, and packaging of various bakery products, completing daily and weekly production levels, as well as maintaining efficiency and quality standards set by Dillanos Coffee Roasters. This position schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, or until the day’s work is complete

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow the production schedule for bakery needs, following recipes accurately to produce products for the day, as well as preparing the appropriate number of boxes and packaging material needed for bakery goods.
• Communicate production numbers to the supervisor and print appropriate labels.
• Know and understand what food allergens are present to avoid cross-contamination.
• Know and understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to eliminate chemical, physical, and biological hazards.
• Stock and rotate bakery products in the freezer.
• Inform the bakery operations supervisor of any equipment maintenance needs.
• Keep all surfaces, equipment, pans, and utensils clean and sanitized after each use, ensuring readiness for the next shift.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules for the production area.
• Stock ingredients to be ready for the next production shift and understand how to read lot codes on each ingredient.
• Assist in additional cleaning and maintenance duties around the facility as needed.

• The ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot when there is a problem with the machinery.
• Knowledge of food preparation and baking is a plus.
• Ability to stand for long hours.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Safely perform proper lifting techniques.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is in a warehouse and requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations based on local weather conditions. In addition, this position will require the individual to work within the hot bakery and at times, the cold bakery freezer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand for long periods; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as use ladders or step stools. The employee will frequently lift and move objects up to 60 pounds.
