Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Pickleball to lead the development, growth, and sustainability of our pickleball programs. This dynamic role involves strategic planning, program management, relationship building, and team supervision to promote a vibrant pickleball community. As a key leader, you will drive initiatives that enhance participant engagement, foster partnerships, and elevate the sport’s presence within our organization and beyond. Your passion for sports management combined with your expertise in program development will inspire teams and participants alike to achieve excellence on and off the court. Base salary with incentive based options.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive pickleball programs that align with organizational goals and community needs
- Manage daily operations of pickleball activities, including scheduling, facility coordination, and event planning
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers involved in pickleball initiatives
- Build strong relationships with local clubs, community organizations, schools, and stakeholders to expand program reach
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement to ensure sustainable program growth
- Monitor program performance through data collection and feedback to continually improve participant experience
- Promote pickleball through marketing campaigns, social media outreach, and community engagement efforts
Requirements
- Proven management experience with a focus on sports or recreation programs
- Strong background in program development tailored to diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs
- Strong technical background for using apps, scheduling programs and AV equipment. Knowledge Court Reserve a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Excellent administrative skills with experience in budgeting, record-keeping, and report generation
- Supervisory experience leading teams of staff or volunteers in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of social work principles or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for promoting inclusive sports programs that foster teamwork, health, and community spirit
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
