Job Summary:
Dill Air Controls Products is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Director of Operations to join our executive leadership team. This position provides overall leadership for our manufacturing operations, including Machining, Assembly, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Shipping, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that support growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

As the Director of Operations, you will provide strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for achieving world-class performance in:

Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead Machining, Assembly, maintenance, purchasing, inventory, and shipping operations.
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
- Develop production standards, operating procedures, and accountability systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and customer quality requirements.
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage operational budgets and capital expenditures while delivering strong financial performance.
- Evaluate and justify capital investments through ROI analysis.
- Oversee sourcing strategy, supplier performance, inventory management, and buy-versus-make decisions.
- Partner with Engineering on new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence across all departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing leadership experience with direct operational responsibility
- Minimum of 5 years managing multiple departments within a manufacturing environment
- Proven success leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Strong understanding of machining, assembly, and manufacturing processes
- Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and operational performance metrics
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong financial acumen, including cost analysis and ROI evaluation
- Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and decision-making skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Willingness to travel up to 15% (domestic and international)
Preferred Qualifications
- Screw machine and CNC machine experience
- ISO 9001 and quality management systems experience
- Six Sigma certification or Lean Manufacturing certification
- Project Management experience with demonstrated measurable results
