**Primary Job Responsibilities**
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
• Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Support external audits by preparing schedules, workpapers, and requested documentation
• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
• Assist with cash management, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and depreciation schedules
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and organizational accounting policies
• Participate in special projects and financial system improvements
• Prepare reports and financial presentations for leadership as required
**Qualifications**
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and financial analysis
• Experience preparing account reconciliations and financial statements
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Experience supporting external audits
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, SAP, or similar platforms
• Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, professional services, or multi-entity environments preferred
