Position: Business Analyst II Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite) Duration: 3 Months (Temporary Assignment) Work Type: Onsite Job Summary This role reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs, formulates systems to align with overall business strategy, and writes detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. The Business Analyst II relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, and may lead or direct the work of others. This role may report to a project lead or manager and expects a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user requirements. Formulate systems and processes that parallel overall business strategies. Write detailed user stories, functional requirements, and development/update steps. Manage product backlog and triage customer tickets. Build dashboards and reports that provide visibility into progress and outcomes. Optimize and build workflows on Monday.com. Collaborate with PMs and TPMs to forecast needs and expected results. Help set up and maintain a wiki/knowledge base platform (Confluence or equivalent). Lead or coordinate small workstreams; support project planning and delivery. Required / Desired Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Experience: 2-4 years of business analysis experience, with demonstrated experience in making and optimizing workflows. (Preference for candidates newer to the field who are open to mentorship and who can contribute ideas.) Preferred background: experience in startup environments preferred over large-tech experience. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to get to the root cause of issues. Excellent verbal and written communication — able to articulate solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Project management fundamentals — understands project lifecycle, planning, tracking, and completing projects end to end. Must-have Technical / Tool Skills Asana Jira Monday.com (must be able to design/optimize workflows in Monday.com) Nice-to-have Confluence or other wiki/knowledge base experience Prior experience building dashboards and reporting (tools can vary) Cultural / Behavioral Fit Leadership Principles (LPs): earns trust, bias for action, invent and simplify. Comfortable in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and willing to take direction and iterate.
