Role: Aircraft Cabin Interiors Engineer (Rebranding)
Work Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Type: Contract
Qualifications:
1. A four-year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (ME/AE/EE), or equivalent is preferred but not required, other engineering degrees and non-degreed candidates and will be considered based on work experience/history.
2. Familiarity with FAR's and DOT regulations related to cabin components, materials, finishes and flammability requirements is preferred
3. Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and associated technical documentation is preferred
4. Familiarity with STC and ODA certification processes is desired
5. Previous experience with commercial airline, military, OEM or MRO is desired
6. Knowledge of Delta systems (AMDS, Insight, OTIS, EARTH, SCEPTRE, etc.) is desired
Working Conditions:
1. Primarily based in office.
2. Access to A/C on the active flight line, in the hangar and on site at MRO facilities will be expected. Minimal hazards/exposure expected.
3. Previous experience with commercial airline, military, OEM or MRO is desired
Responsibilities:
The Cabin Rebrand team is tasked with transforming Delta’s Cabin Interiors, upgrading the appearance to match the new Brand Standard. This role will directly support the conversion of the product via Engineering Work Packages. The requirements of this role may include:
1. Development, design, and production of programs, repairs, inspections, and alterations related to aircraft interiors, including cabin commodities such as seats, lavatories and galleys
