Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal, ductwork, and structural components, adhering to project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently and safely
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to meet exact specifications
- Execute pipe threading, rigging, soldering, and assembly tasks as required for construction or manufacturing projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and ASME codes & standards
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks involving mechanical knowledge, schematics interpretation, and assembly processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with a focus on welding operations
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques - Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools
- Knowledge of rigging practices, crane operation basics, forklift operation certification is a plus
- Ability to work safely in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in fabrication processes such as pipe threading, assembly, soldering, and ductwork installation
