Our administration has immediate openings for Owner-Operators / Independent Contract Delivery Drivers who own or rent a 14ft to16ft Box Truck to join our operation delivering in Lafayette,LA and surrounding areas. Owner / Operators and Independent Contractors from Lafayette and surrounding areas, we want to hear from you.
Diligent Delivery Systems has several opportunities for drivers with their own 14ft to 16ft Box Truck.
Full Time
Pay-$200.00 per day plus fuel surcharge
Schedule- Monday through Friday- 5:30am launch time
Route averages 25 stops per day.
Independent Contract Driver Requirements:
Reliable Vehicle Needed: 14ft to16ft Box Truck Required
Understanding of Directions: Must have a smart phone with GPS and able to find your way around your delivery area.
Professionalism: Dependable and responsible individual able to interact well alongside staff members, management and clients. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to communicate in English.
Good Standing Driving Record: Driver license, insurance, and a 3 year Motor Vehicle Report (obtained in the last 30 days). Also, vehicle needs a current registration.
Social Security Card Needed.
Must Be 21 Years or Older

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport packages to designated locations.
- Utilize GPS and route information to optimize delivery efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery drop-offs.
- Load and unload packages, utilizing heavy lifting skills as needed.
- Communicate effectively with customers and management regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of packages.
