Cemetery Service Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented Cemetery Services Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring every family we serve experiences care, respect, and professionalism at every step.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform openings and closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments

• Set, install, and assemble foundations, memorials, and markers

• Install outer burial containers

• Complete and respond to work orders related to grave and marker maintenance

• Conduct Interment Verification Procedures

• Prepare and maintain a clean 25-foot radius around burial sites

• Fill graves and complete finishing tasks such as tamping, seeding, or laying sod

• Follow all company safety rules and universal precautions

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities

• Maintain a clean, organized work area

• Complete required training through Dignity University

• Uphold the standards of the Dignity Memorial Promise

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• At least 6 months of experience operating standard equipment perferred

Licenses:

• Acceptable driving record and required licenses to operate vehicles/equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to operate hand tools (shovel, pick, rake, etc.) and lawn equipment

• Ability to operate mechanical equipment (dump truck, tractor, utility vehicle, backhoe, etc.)

• Strong measuring skills using tape measures, yardsticks, and similar devices

• Effective communication with team members, contractors, and families

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Strong understanding of safety procedures

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
