Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods while maintaining a balanced cash drawer
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to maximize sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains attractive and well-maintained
- Conduct retail sales transactions efficiently while adhering to store policies and procedures
- Maintain knowledge of store products and current promotions to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers
- Demonstrate phone etiquette by professionally answering inquiries and directing calls as needed
Skills
- Strong proficiency in POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Previous supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills in both bilingual (if applicable) and English to connect with diverse customers
- Skilled in merchandising techniques to display products appealingly and boost sales
- Knowledge of retail store product details to assist customers confidently
- Experience with stocking, inventory management, and basic math for cash handling tasks
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with friendly phone etiquette and proactive engagement
