Job Overview

DignCare Home Care Agency is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers to provide exceptional support to older adults and individuals who wish to remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.

As a Personal Care Worker (PCW) / Caregiver, you will assist clients with personal care, homemaker services, companionship, and activities of daily living while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.

This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
• Provide companionship, conversation, emotional support, and social engagement
• Assist with meal planning, meal preparation, and feeding assistance when needed
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization
• Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and transportation to appointments when authorized
• Provide medication reminders in accordance with the client's care plan
• Observe and report changes in client condition, safety concerns, or unusual events
• Maintain accurate visit documentation using the ShiftCare mobile application
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and DignCare team members

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Proof of automobile insurance
• Ability to pass a background screening
• Smartphone with internet access
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Home care experience
• Assisted living experience
• Memory care or dementia care experience
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or chronic health conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull as required
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers
• Ability to perform household tasks and caregiving duties safely

Compensation

Weekday Shifts: $21.00/hour

Weekend Shifts: $23.00/hour

Holiday Shifts: $30.00/hour

Overnight Awake Shifts: $24.00/hour

Overnight Sleep Shifts: $160.00 per night
