Database Developer
Become an integral part of a diverse team. Currently DIGITALPSEC is seeking an experienced, motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Developer to join our team.
Location: Sterling, VA/partial remote
Education: B.S. degree in relevant with at least (4 ) years of IT experience.
Clearance: US Citizens only. Individual must be willing and able to obtain a Top-Secret Security Clearance. CBP SSBI or prior clearance(s) held is preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Work experience with SQL programming is required
- Must have work experience writing advanced SQL Queries for reports and analysis
- Must have experience tuning queries for performance
- Postgres experience and large-scale cloud databases (e.g. Redshift) is a plus
- Programming experience with Python, Java is a plus, especially with object relational mappers and other database access layers
Responsibilities:
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
