Water Spider Operator

We are actively hiring for the position of Water Spider for our plant in Van Nuys, CA

Shift: 1st Shift Monday – Friday; 5:30am - 2pm

Duties & Responsibilities

Water Spider Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Monitor and move recycle/scrap paper bins from cutting machines to the compactor as needed
• Remove any label/vinyl waste from the production floor and ensure paper recycling bins are free of contamination
• Transport pallets of FedEx Ground shipments off the production floor and into the FedEx trailer
• Organize and stage jobs in the Bindery department by sorting them according to department and due date
• Assist with jogging paper for Cutter Operators when required
• Keep the production floor clean, ensuring aisleways remain clear of obstructions
• Report all workplace hazards to management immediately
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards
• Complete additional tasks assigned and be available for overtime as needed.

• Good problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Effective communication skills with co-workers and management
• Proficiency in using hand/power tools safely
• Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
