Offset Press Operator | Leading Print Manufacturing Company

We are actively hiring for the position of Press Operator for our plant in Van Nuys, CA

Shift: 9:30 pm - 6:00 am Sunday to Thursday

Pay Rate: $28 - $35

Please note: Compensation decisions are made in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and education.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare the plates by punching holes in front and placing them inside the designated color.
• Read job orders from IMS system to determine job priorities, specifications, and to plan out workload for the day.
• Clean and set up the press machine according to the designated print job.
• Create a ready batch for each run processed on the press machine.
• Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
• Maintain records such as daily production records using specified forms and entering the finished process to show in IMS software time and date of completion.
• Communicate with coworkers and management team to ensure all duties assigned are completed
• Report all workplace hazards to management immediately
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned

• Understand press machine printing
• Understand the imaging layouts and quality of printed jobs
• Attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, speak & understand English
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to use correct hand/power tools and safe use of the
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time)
