Die Cutter Operator Level I

We are actively hiring for the position of Die Cutter Operator  for our plant in Van Nuys, CA 

 Shift: 1st and 3rd

1st: 5:30am - 2pm

3rd: 9:30pm - 6am

 Pay Range: $18 to $20 hourly. Actual compensation within the range will depend on a variety of factors including the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Access IMS program to determine priority jobs and set workload for the day.
• Determine what size and pattern of die will be used to run the cutting job.
• Observe the Die Cutting machine while running to make any adjustments and ensure a smooth and accurate cut is done on the patter.
• Inspect the die cut job to ensure accuracy and quality before packing in designated box.
• Record production and operational data using IMS system, such as entering completed jobs.
• Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
• Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
• Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.

Qualification 

• At least 1 year of experience using continuous and pile fed machines and packing Exp.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with Press Operator.
• Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
• Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
• Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
• Able to stand for 8 hours
• Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time)
