What are the responsibilities and job description for the HubSpot Solution Consultant position at Digital Polygon?
About Digital Polygon
We're a digital consultancy that helps businesses build better web experiences — and we mean that literally. Our mission is simple: Build it better. Our team of project managers, design, marketing and development specialists work closely with clients across WebOps and RevOps to deliver digital products that are fast, smart, and built to grow.
We're collaborative, curious, and obsessed with doing good work. If that sounds like you, read on.
About the role
As a HubSpot Solutions Consultant, you're the person who makes the platform actually work for clients. You lead the technical side of implementations end to end — discovery, design, build, deployment — and own the solution from the first requirements conversation to the final handoff. You're paired with a Project Manager who handles timelines, resourcing, and account management, so you can stay focused on what you do best: building things right.
About 80% of this role is hands-on solutioning and implementation. The rest is leading technical conversations with clients and supporting the team — running discovery, translating what they actually need into scalable HubSpot architecture, and knowing when to push back on a request that won't hold up six months from now. You can lead a client call in the morning and be heads-down configuring workflows in the afternoon, and you're energized by both.
What You'll Do
Discovery & Requirements
- Lead or co-lead client discovery sessions to understand business goals, existing systems, and process gaps
- Ask the right technical questions and translate what you hear into clear, actionable requirements
- Document findings and produce solution designs that the project team can align around
Implementation & Delivery
- Own the HubSpot build: CRM architecture, workflows, automation, lifecycle stages, pipelines, permissions, and reporting
- Lead sprint execution on implementation projects, working in close partnership with the wider team of developers, designers, GTM/RevOps specialists and project managers
- Manage integrations with third-party tools using native connectors, middleware, or APIs
- Produce client-facing documentation, SOPs, and handoff materials that are clear enough to stand on their own
Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate clearly with client stakeholders across marketing, sales, and operations
- Partner with the Project Manager to keep scope, timelines, and technical decisions aligned
- Work alongside developers, designers, and GTM/RevOps specialists to deliver cohesive solutions, not siloed pieces
- Share context and decisions clearly across the team so nothing lives only in your head
- Flag risks, gaps, and scope considerations early, before they become problems
What You Bring
- 5 years of hands-on HubSpot experience across Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, Operations Hub, and Service Hub
- Demonstrated experience leading HubSpot implementations and/or migrations end-to-end
- Strong background in Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, or Revenue Operations
- Comfortable leading discovery sessions and translating business requirements into technical design
- Proven ability to execute independently: you manage your own work, flag blockers early, and do not need instructions written out step by step
- Strong documentation habits across the full project lifecycle, SOPs, runbooks, architecture notes, and stakeholder-ready updates
- Experience working in a consulting, agency, or client-facing environment
- Solid understanding of CRM data architecture, data modeling, lifecycle logic, pipeline design, and attribution, including data hygiene practices and governance standards
- Strong written and verbal communication: your documentation is clear, your client interactions are confident
- HubSpot certifications preferred; demonstrated hands-on output matters more
- B2B experience required; SaaS or agency background strongly preferred
How You'll Know You're Succeeding
- Client discovery sessions produce clear, complete requirements that the team can build from
- Implementations are delivered cleanly, with documentation that clients can actually use
- You are flagging risks and design tradeoffs before they become downstream problems
- Your project managers trust you to own the technical layer without hand-holding
Tools You'll Work In
- HubSpot platform: Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, and Operations Hubs, including custom objects and HubSpot's data model
- Integration and automation: Zapier, Make, HubSpot Operations Hub, and iPaaS platforms for more complex orchestration
- APIs and data: HubSpot APIs (Private Apps, OAuth 2.0), webhooks, Fivetran, Snowflake, and BI tools like Looker or Power BI
- Adjacent platforms: Salesforce (a common integration target), Stripe, Calendly, and CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow
- Collaboration and delivery: Jira, Google Workspace, Loom, Miro, and AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT
Benefits:

- 401k Company Match
- Flexible Time Off Plan
- Opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and growing company
- Travel and training opportunities
