Janitorial Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Janitorial Operations Supervisor to oversee existing client accounts, manage cleaning teams, and help expand our business in the local market.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, works independently, and is proactive in identifying opportunities to improve operations and develop new business relationships.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can balance daily operations, employee supervision, customer satisfaction, and business development. The ideal candidate is resourceful, dependable, and motivated to grow with the company.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Team Supervision

• Oversee daily janitorial operations across multiple client locations.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support cleaning staff to maintain service quality.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address cleaning deficiencies promptly.
• Manage employee attendance, performance, and accountability.
• Ensure proper staffing, including coverage for absences and emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures and safety standards.

Client & Account Management

• Serve as the primary local contact for existing clients and facility managers.
• Build strong relationships to maintain customer satisfaction and account retention.
• Respond promptly to client concerns and follow through until issues are resolved.
• Identify opportunities to offer additional cleaning services to existing customers.
• Ensure all accounts meet contractual expectations and company quality standards.

Business Development & Growth

• Actively identify potential new commercial cleaning opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Develop relationships with property managers, facility directors, and local businesses.
• Generate leads, coordinate site walkthroughs, and assist with preparing service proposals.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase company revenue.
• Work closely with company leadership to achieve business growth objectives.

Cost Control & Reporting

• Monitor labor hours, employee productivity, and supply expenses.
• Ensure operations remain efficient and within approved budgets.
• Maintain accurate reports on site inspections, staffing, customer concerns, and operational performance.
• Provide regular updates to management on account performance and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial janitorial operations, facility services, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take initiative without constant supervision.
• Experience managing multiple customer accounts and cleaning teams.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
• Interest in sales, account growth, and business development.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and workplace safety practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to visit multiple locations and respond to operational needs when necessary.
