Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Property Maintenance & Estate Care Technician to oversee the ongoing appearance, preventative maintenance, and overall care of multiple high-end residential properties throughout Northern Virginia.
This is not a construction or landscaping position. Instead, this role focuses on preserving meticulously maintained properties through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and light repair work. The ideal candidate takes pride in ownership, maintains exceptionally high standards, and notices the small details that keep each property looking its best.
The position involves scheduled visits to multiple properties, seasonal maintenance, and occasional as-needed service. Travel between properties is expected.
Primary Responsibilities
Routine Property Maintenance
- Inspect and adjust irrigation heads to ensure proper coverage.
- Clean and power wash pool decks, patios, walkways, and surrounding hardscape.
- Clean cabanas, outdoor kitchens, appliances, and cabinetry.
- Maintain artificial putting greens by brushing fibers, cleaning cups, raking bunkers, removing weeds, and collecting golf balls.
- Clean exterior windows as scheduled.
- Remove rocks, debris, and golf balls from lawn areas.
- Clean pool deck drainage systems.
- Blow off and clean all exterior hardscape.
- Sweep and organize garages and storage areas.
- Clean outdoor bathrooms and showers.
- Maintain decorative planters.
- Clean breezeways and remove cobwebs.
- Rinse and clean outdoor furniture.
- Inspect pool water levels and refill when necessary.
Seasonal & Quarterly Maintenance
- Clean gutters and downspouts.
- Power wash porches, bluestone patios, walkways, and upper decks.
- Charge automated interior window shades.
- Inspect and replace exterior light bulbs.
- Clean basement stairwell drains.
- Bush hog open-space or conservancy areas as needed.
- Apply seasonal fertilizer around planting beds.
- Deep clean garages and outdoor furniture.
Annual Maintenance
- Complete full exterior house washes.
- Clean garbage and recycling containers.
- Prepare outdoor living areas for seasonal transitions, including cleaning and storing furniture and cushions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel between multiple residential properties throughout Northern Virginia.
- Identify maintenance issues before they become larger repairs.
- Report recommended repairs and property improvements.
- Coordinate with specialty contractors when needed.
- Keep maintenance equipment, tools, and supplies organized.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the property owners with discretion and integrity.
- Treat every property with the same level of care as if it were your own.
