Position Summary:
The Lead Assembler oversees daily assembly operations, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives. This role combines hands-on assembly work with leadership responsibilities — providing guidance, training, and workflow coordination for the assembly team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and train assemblers on standard work instructions, safety, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate daily assembly activities to meet production schedules and throughput targets.
- Perform assembly and testing of products, ensuring compliance with specifications and documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Quality to resolve build issues or implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate production records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure tools, materials, and workstations are organized and production-ready.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in electronic or electromechanical assembly a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing or process improvement principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or Associate degree preferred.
