Database Engineer (Oracle Cloud Engineer)

Introduction:

The Database Engineer (Oracle Cloud Engineer) will be responsible for developing cloud infrastructure, spinning up EC2 instances, deploying databases or releases onto virtual machines, and adding automation scripts for deployment of tools. They will also be involved in enabling automation for Oracle functions such as observer, Oracle auditing, and OEM. Shell scripting for automation and deployment tasks for tools deployed through Jenkins will be a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop cloud infrastructure
• Spin up EC2 instances
• Deploy databases or releases onto virtual machines
• Add automation scripts for deployment of tools
• Enable automation for Oracle functions (observer, Oracle auditing, OEM)
• Develop shell scripts for automation and deployment tasks
• Utilize cloud formation Terraform
• Work with Jenkins, GIT, and Artifactory for deployment
