Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School is seeking an Extended Leave Substitute Teacher for Mathematics beginning in late spring 2026 and continuing into the fall of the 2026–2027 school year.
The Extended Leave Substitute Teacher will provide instruction aligned to the district curriculum and will work collaboratively with department members to ensure continuity of learning. The teacher will be responsible for maintaining classroom routines, supporting student engagement, and fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, grading, and communication with families while implementing all required student supports.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty, support staff, families, and administration to provide a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities
● Provide direct instruction in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus aligned with the district curriculum
● Maintain a positive, safe, and student-centered classroom environment
● Follow the scope and sequence of the curriculum as determined by the teacher of record and department
● Maintain accurate records of student progress, including grading and assessment
● Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
● Implement and adhere to all Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
● Utilize effective classroom management strategies and build strong relationships with students
● Collaborate with colleagues, instructional assistants, and support staff as needed
● Participate in faculty meetings and school-based responsibilities as appropriate
