Digestive Health Specialists, P.A., a leading gastroenterology group based in Winston Salem, is currently recruiting for a full-time RN or LPN to join our Winston Salem team. Job Description Summary:
The Endoscopy Nurse works collaboratively with the physician and the anesthesia health care providers to determine patient needs during endoscopic procedures. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for patient care, documents and evaluates the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensures a safe environment of care.
The Registered Nurse will :
- Facilitate quality patient care and assist professional and/or nursing staff in performing Endoscopy procedures when needed.
- Work to increase the department’s ability to effectively maintain the daily schedule along with safe and appropriate patient services.
- Must possess appropriate personality characteristics to serve patients and families in a positive, professional, helpful manner.
- This position requires the ability and means to travel to various locations including, but not limited to other sites. Must provide proof of automobile insurance.
- Assist with orientation and training of Endoscopy staff.
Qualifications:
Job Eligibility Requirements:
- Current BLS certification
- Must have 1-2 years in patient medical-surgical or Endoscopy experience.
- Willing to obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire.
- Holds the following certifications without restrictions:
- Current North Carolina RN License
- Current Compact State License acceptable in NC
- Language - Must be able to read and write English at high school level. Must communicate effectively. Must be able to read numbers and do basic math calculations.
- Transportation – Must have transportation, current NC Driver’s License without restrictions and vehicle insurance.
1 Year Med Surg Experience preferred
