Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in an ambulatory surgery center settings. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services, perform detailed patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support patients age 16 and over, and with mostly gastrointestinal medical conditions. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and recover patients from sedation with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques
- Manage complex care needs such as ostomy care for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on diagnostic evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge planning
- Document all patient interactions accurately using paper charting while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Support infection control protocols, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and medical documentation standards
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in good standing with current state requirements
- Proven experience in gastrointestinal health and endoscopy preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Skilled in performing procedures like IV insertion, IV medication administration, and aseptic technique
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
