What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Digestive Diseases Center?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain records and referrals from other providers such as doctors’ offices, laboratories, imaging centers etc.
- Each chart must have all the appropriate records filed/scanned into the chart.
- Responsible for preparing, cleaning and stocking of the rooms with the appropriate supplies and materials needed.
- Calling patients back to clinic, collecting all vitals, current medications, updating medical records accordingly while maintaining a pleasant attitude and working quickly to always keep patient rooms full. Close out patient encounter for the office visit.
- Maintain communication with patient during their stay in the exam room, keeping them informed of physician’s schedule.
- Maintain communication with front desk regarding physician schedule.
- Maintain patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
- Participates in program development and in development and implementation of operating policy and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
