Requirements
- 2-4 years’ proven experience with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing
- 2-3 years’ minimum experience programming and operating CNC machines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications and troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
- Proficient in operating various machine tools including lathes and mills.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ability to set up, calibrate, and maintain machinery effectively.
- Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
- Familiarity with inspection and measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a machining environment.
- Ability to make parts from drawings and drawing files.
- Experience working with stainless steel
- Operate production equipment to produce products in accordance with production needs and verbal and written instructions.
- Operate lathes, mills, and other machine tools to produce precision parts and components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Set up and adjust machine tools to achieve desired specifications and tolerances.
- Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and efficiency, adjusting as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes.
Minimum Requirements
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Fast-paced work environment with, in, and around industrial machinery.
- Capability to stand in one place for 70% of the shift (8 hours per day)
- Capability to walk throughout department for 30% of the shift (8 hours per day)
- Capability to lift to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8 hours per day)
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment. Production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). Ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time.
