About the PositionWe are looking for a Registered Dietitian to provide individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) in a hybrid setting. Sessions are primarily in-office, with a caseload of 25–32 patient hours per week. A minimum of 20 patient hours must be conducted in-office, with the remainder offered remotely for flexibility.
Specialization: Demonstrated interest or prior clinical experience in women’s health and/or gastrointestinal conditions is required. Additional specialty training will be provided; candidates must be willing to actively engage in ongoing education and clinical preparation to develop expertise in these focus areas.

Dietitian Driven is a patient-centered practice that integrates motivational interviewing and behavior change strategies into nutrition counseling. We also prioritize collaboration with referring physicians to ensure cohesive, multidisciplinary patient care.

Core Responsibilities- 1:1 Medical Nutrition Therapy – Conduct individualized patient counseling using the ADIME model, with a caseload of 25–32 patients per week.
- Comprehensive Documentation – Maintain accurate, timely records to ensure continuity of care and compliance.
- Secure, HIPAA-Compliant EMR Communication – Use electronic medical records (EMR) for patient documentation, messaging, and ongoing support.
- Physician Collaboration – Share detailed visit notes with referring providers and coordinate follow-up calls for high-need patients.
- Compliance & Organization – Ensure all referrals and required paperwork are completed at least 48 hours before the initial visit.
- Clinical & Operational Meetings – Participate in regular RD meetings to discuss clinical care, case reviews, operational workflows, and professional growth.
- Insurance Knowledge & Patient Support – Develop a working knowledge of insurance policies to help patients maximize coverage. Training is provided, but a willingness to learn is key.
- Education: Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related field.
- Credentials: Registered Dietitian (RD).
- Licensure: Active Connecticut dietitian license.
- CDR Standing: Good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Experience: Preferred 2 years of outpatient counseling, with training in Motivational Interviewing, the Stages of Change model, and behavior change strategies.
