Role Description
This part-time on-site Registered Dietitian role is based in Fort Myers, FL. The Registered Dietitian will assess patients’ nutritional status, develop individualized care plans, and provide medical nutrition therapy in collaboration with the health care team. Daily responsibilities include conducting nutrition screenings, delivering nutritional counseling, monitoring patient progress, and documenting assessments and interventions in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves providing education to patients, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics, participating in interdisciplinary care meetings, and supporting quality improvement initiatives within the nutrition and foodservice departments.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply current evidence-based practices.
- Demonstrated skills in Nutritional Counseling and Weight Management to support diverse patient populations.
- Competence in Medical Nutrition Therapy for a range of clinical conditions in health care settings.
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential and applicable state licensure (or eligibility) for Florida.
- Experience in clinical or long-term care environments, including familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Effective communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage a part-time on-site schedule, prioritize caseloads, and work independently within facility protocols.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic office software; bilingual skills are a plus.
