JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the HR & Safety Manager, the Safety Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining workplace safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, company policies, and industry standards. This role is heavily focused on ammonia refrigeration compliance and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, including regulatory documentation, audits, inspections, training coordination, and to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and support the company’s Ammonia Refrigeration Safety Program and OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update all PSM documentation
- Conduct routine safety inspections, ammonia system inspections, and compliance audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Participate in incident, injury, near-miss, and ammonia release investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective action recommendations.
- Coordinate employee safety training programs, including PSM, ammonia awareness, emergency response, lockout/tagout, confined space, and hazard communication training.
- Track safety certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with emergency preparedness drills and coordination with local emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety and PSM requirements.
- Maintain OSHA logs, compliance records, permits, and other regulatory documentation.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance, and management teams to promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze safety trends and recommend improvements to reduce workplace risks and improve compliance performance.
- 13. Assist during OSHA, EPA, insurance, and third-party compliance audits and inspections.

- Occasionally works in outside weather conditions and occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Noise level in the work environment is occasionally higher than normal
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
