We take pride in maintaining our fleet of 18-wheelers and ensuring our operations run smoothly from the office to the shop floor. We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Manager/Service Advisor to oversee our office and mechanic shop operations, ensuring that both our administrative and maintenance teams work in sync.
Position Overview:
The Manager/Service Advisor will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of our office and mechanic shop. This includes managing staff, scheduling maintenance and repairs, overseeing workflow, maintaining communication with drivers and clients, and ensuring all work is performed efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support office staff and shop technicians.
- Manage scheduling, workflow, and productivity within the shop.
- Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, mechanics, and management.
- Create and maintain service orders, estimates, and maintenance records.
- Monitor parts inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper documentation.
- Oversee fleet maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Support administrative tasks including invoices, reports, and personnel coordination.
- Foster a positive, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive or trucking service management or as a service advisor required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of diesel trucks, 18-wheeler maintenance, and shop operations.
- Proficient in office management systems and repair order software (e.g., QuickBooks, Fleetio, or similar).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- CDL license or trucking industry experience a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
