If you're focused, detail-oriented and eager to learn, you'll thrive in this entry-level role as an Assistant Floral Manager with Dierbergs. As you're branching out in this fun department, we'll rely on you to:
- Receive, sort and rotate cut flowers, bouquets and arrangements
- Create simple corsages, boutonnieres and floral arrangements
- Operate cash register and computer systems while processing all forms of payment (gift cards, checks, credits, debits and floral charges)
- Process customer orders for in-store purchases and delivery
- Arrange store merchandise to best showcase our creative selection of flowers, plants and gifts

What you need to succeed
- Desire to provide floral arrangements and timely service with thought, style and expertise
- Ability to work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler) and tolerate a high-pollen and seed-spore environment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Lifting & Carrying - Up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Pushing & Pulling - Up to 20 lbs force occasionally
- Occasional - Sit, kneel, stoop, squat, climb, overhead reach, & power grip
