Food Sanitation Maintenance Associate · Full-Time · Dierbergs Markets
Food Sanitation Maintenance Associates keep our food production departments clean and running at the highest level. They are independent and have a strong attention to detail which helps with their responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of cleaning functions in the Bakery, Deli, Seafood, Meat, Salad Bar and Produce Departments
- Primary duties will consist of the heavy-duty cleaning of walls, floors, ceiling, coolers, drains, equipment, and cases (after the product is removed) in all perishable departments
- Operate commercial power equipment such as floor scrubbers, steamers, power washers, scrubber, buffer, trash compactor, etc.
- Carry out daily cleaning, as well as weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual deep-cleaning requirements
Essentials
- At least 18 years of age
- Strong attention to detail and aptitude to learn and use cleaning chemicals, including understanding basic information (chemical names and product labels)
- The ability to navigate and move ladders frequently over extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently
- Read basic information (ex: chemical names and product labels)
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
- Prompt and regular attendance based on your schedule
- Adherence to our dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards
- Associates in food handling departments are required to receive a Hepatitis A vaccination (MO only)
Physical Requirements
- Lifting & Carrying - Up to 35 lbs
- Pushing & Pulling - Up to 50 lbs of force
- Occasional - Sit, kneel, crawl, climb, overhead reach, & power grip
- Frequent - Stand, walk, head turn, trunk bend, stoop, squat, handling, side reach, grasp, pinch, finger manipulation, & feel
- Constant - Forward reach
- Mobile throughout the store; standing for 8 hours
- Able to climb up and down ladders and move ladders frequently over extended periods of time
