Dierbergs Markets is seeking a talented Data Architect & Engineer who will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, identify patterns, and extracting valuable insights to drive business value using statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics. They will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver recommendations that drive strategic decision-making. The person in this role will identify key data sources, ensure its quality and integrity, and develop robust data pipelines which deliver a scalable and efficient user experience. They collaborate on the development of cutting-edge visualization tools to create intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations that convey complex insights to stakeholders across the organization. How You’ll Make an Impact

Building & Executing Data Standards

  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large and complex datasets

  • Develop predictive models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve business problems and optimize processes

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses to support data processing and analysis

  • Conduct root cause analysis on issues and implement changes to prevent recurrence and improve efficiency

  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency

  • Implement data governance practices and maintain data documentation to ensure data lineage and compliance

  • Create visually appealing and interactive data visualizations using industry-standard tools and frameworks

  • Design and present intuitive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders in a visually compelling and easy-to-understand manner

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless user experience in data visualization interfaces

 

Driving Business Adoption & Insights

  • Acquire a deep understanding our business needs, processes, and pain points to determine the success factors and evaluation criteria that will be needed to measure the effectiveness of an AI/ML modeling

  • Define and maintain enterprise data management framework by establishing and implementing standards, best practices and architectural patterns of the modern Azure Synapse Analytics and PowerBI environment spanning across all layers of ingestion, storage/maintenance, and consumption of data

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, identify data requirements, and deliver actionable insights

  • Proactively, monitor and manage capacity and resource expansion to ensure scalability and system performance

  • Ensure that solutions meet industry best practices in the areas of security, privacy, and retention

  • Provide technical oversight on development to ensure consistency with standards, policies, and controls

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or relevant work experience

  • 3 years IT experience with 2 years of analytical modeling experience, SQL required, Python experience preferred

  • 2 years Azure Synapse Analytics 2 years dashboard and visualization development, Power BI preferred 2 years test design, planning and execution experience

  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL and applications, including Excel and Power Query

  • Knowledge of data governance

  • Experience in continuously evolving environments with rapidly changing priorities

  • Technical expertise in data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with diligence and accuracy

  • Excellent data analysis techniques ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining
