What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consultant position at Diener Law, P.A.?
Diener Law is seeking a Consultant to serve as the first point of contact for prospective immigration clients. Many of the people you’ll meet are scared and don’t know what to do next. This role combines structured guidance, client intake, customer service, and immigration education.
You’ll use a proven, step-by-step process built by our attorneys. It walks you through what to ask and helps you and the client see their real options together. The process and your training keep every conversation accurate and appropriate — you’re guiding, not deciding. What you’re doing is helping someone understand their choices at one of the hardest moments in their life, and helping them take the next step.
If you’re good at helping people move past fear or hesitation, you follow a process closely, and you care about doing this work with honesty and heart — we’d like to hear from you.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
At Diener Law, this role offers:
- Paid, hands-on training when you start, including how immigration law and our process work.
- A role that mixes talking with people, helping them decide, and teaching them about their options.
- Clear steps, scripts, and coaching to help you succeed — you’re never doing this alone.
- Real support in the room — when a case gets complex, you can bring in a more experienced teammate or an attorney to help, right in the moment.
- The chance to help people take a real step toward a better future.
The Role
The Consultant will:
- Meet with prospective clients and walk them through our step-by-step process.
- Build trust quickly, understand what the client needs, and explain how our firm can help.
- Collect information, review documents, and enter details accurately into our systems.
- Use the process to identify possible immigration options, and bring in an attorney or teammate for anything complex.
- Write up clear notes after each meeting, follow up on time, and work toward your office’s weekly goals.
Your day-to-day may change based on how many consultations come in, what training you’re doing, and what your office needs.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, or another people-focused role.
- Can follow a clear process and stay consistent, even when conversations are emotional.
- Knows when to ask for help from a teammate or attorney.
- Cares about team goals and office success.
- Is open to coaching, feedback, and improvement.
- You can stay patient, kind, and helpful during difficult conversations.
This role involves sensitive conversations with people going through difficult situations. We provide training, scripts, and team support so you are not handling those moments alone.
