Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, technically strong candidate who will provide support to our contract machining operations. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining CMM programs and performing First Article Inspections of machined components using PC-DMIS software and AS-9102 formatting. This role ensures compliance with customer requirements, ISO 9001:2015 standards and ITAR regulations - working closely with various internal departments to support throughput.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, program, and operate CMM using PC-DMIS software.
- Prepare and complete FAI’s from data gathered and upload onto AS-9102 documentation.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve dimensional nonconformances identified during inspection activities to help ensure part compliance.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to establish effective inspection methods and plans.
- Perform manual inspections using micrometers, calipers, thread gauges (etc).
- Assist with dimensional inspections for purchased materials and components.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in CMM programming from 3D models using PC-DMIS and using CAD (SolidWorks).
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in an inspection-related role (ex. CMM operator, Quality Technician)
- Strong AS-9102 and GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience working within regulated environments including ISO/TS, ITAR, and CMMC
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume CNC machining environment
- Experience with Brown & Sharpe 7107 a plus
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, temperature-controlled environment.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required when on manufacturing floor.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
- Exposure to, but is not limited to, the following materials: acrylic, polycarbonate, FR-4 epoxy glass, GPO (I, III, III) polyester glass, HDPE (high-density polyethylene), glass epoxy, G9 melamine laminate, copper, brass, and aluminum.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift – 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
