What You’ll Do
- Keep machinery and mechanical equipment running smoothly from raw ingredients to finished product
- Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Troubleshoot and repair issues using diagrams, sketches, manuals, and test instruments
- Maintain accurate logs and maintenance reports while using the work order system
- Coordinate with shift supervisors to quickly address mechanical, electrical, and maintenance needs
- Manage and account for tools and spare parts, anticipating future needs
- Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain the highest product standards
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, and other equipment safely
- Work safely with high-temperature oils and in a fast-paced, wet, oily, and noisy environment
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and communicate effectively with the team
- Follow GMPs, food safety requirements, and company policies
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or upper management
What You Bring
- Background or strong interest in equipment maintenance
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic safety and power tools
- Ability to adapt, stay organized, and work independently
- Dependability and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
- Clear communication skills (verbal, written, and digital)
Physical & Environmental Demands
- 8 hour shifts
- Continuous standing, walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Occasionally working near loud noise, moving parts, high heat, cold, and chemicals
- Strong reasoning, memory, math, and language skills required
