We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Network Engineer with mid-level experience to join our growing infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining data center networks, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of our network infrastructure.
Location: Hybrid: Required to be onsite as needed basis, Dallas TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and support data center network infrastructure including switches, routers and cloud environment.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms.
- Participate in the design and migration anjitof on-prem Data centers and Cloud environments(Azure/AWS).
- Ensure scalability, High availability, redundancy and optimal performance across Datacenter environment with robust failover mechanisms & traffic engineering.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot complex/chronic network issues and coordinate with internal teams and vendors for resolution.
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in Data center and cloud networking.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills :
- 10–12 years of experience in data center network engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment (Cisco Catalyst 8K series, ASR routers, Nexus 9K/7K/5K, Catalyst 9K).
- Deep understanding of Layer 2 technologies: VLANs, Trunking, STP(RSTP/MST), vPC, Etherchannel/LACP.
- Strong expertise in Layer 3 routing protocols(OSPF,EIGRP,BGP,OMP), VRF, ECMP, PBR, route redistribution, FHRP protocols (HSRP/VRRP/GLBP).
- Hands-on experience with VXLAN, EVPN, Spine-Leaf Architecture and Cisco ACI infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in network capacity planning and Data center Designs.
- Design and implement WAN solutions, including Cisco SD-WAN.
- Experience of virtualization concepts and cloud networking in Microsoft Azure, AWS environments.
- Solid understanding of DDI services (DNS, DHCP & IPAM) to maintain efficient and secure network operations.
- Familiarity with networking tools (e.g., Forward Networks, Check_MK, Netbox, NetFlow)
- Good understanding of Cables such as CAT6 & Fibers(SM/MM), Variants of Optics, Physical datacenter Management skills will be preferred.
- Infrastructure automation and scripting experience using Python, Ansible is a plus.
- Travel: Quarterly travel to Virginia
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Data Center (preferred but not required)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
