As a Janitor, you play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our employees, clients, and visitors. Your work ensures that all spaces, offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other areas are well-kept and ready for everyone to thrive.
What You Will Do
- Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, break rooms, locker rooms, kitchenettes/pantries, showers, stairwells, corridors, elevators/escalators, and other work areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment; polish metalwork and fittings.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets, transport trash to disposal areas, and recycle materials appropriately.
- Replenish restroom supplies as needed.
- Follow all safety standards and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Maintain quality work and appropriate conduct in line with Didlake policies.
- Complete and maintain all required Didlake training.
Qualifications:
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED, or
- Minimum of 6 months previous custodial or janitorial experience
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to carry out simple but detailed instructions
- Effective communication skills with co-workers
- Positive team player attitude
- Ability to interact effectively with employees with disabilities
- Ability to work safely in environments with narrow, moving, and/or slippery surfaces
