DiClemente Siegel Design Inc. a dynamic engineering and architecture firm, is looking for an experienced IT Director to lead the strategic and operational management of our technology infrastructure at our Southfield, MI office. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership in-office position responsible for supporting our IT vision, guiding technology decisions, and ensuring our systems support the unique needs of our architectural and engineering teams.

As our IT Director, you will oversee the firm’s technology environment—ensuring it supports the evolving needs of architectural and engineering workflows, including software such as AutoCAD and Revit. You’ll manage IT policies, supervise technology assets, and lead the firm’s cybersecurity, networking, and IT compliance efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 years of IT experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or management role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Thorough understanding of IT governance, policies, compliance, cybersecurity, network administration and best practices

  • Experience managing and implementing IT systems in a professional services or AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) environment is highly desirable

  • Experience with Autodesk product deployment, licensing, and support (AutoCAD and Revit)

  • Ability to work onsite in Southfield, MI

What You’ll Do:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all IT functions across the company.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce IT standards, policies, cybersecurity protocols, and procedures.
  • Oversee system reliability, data integrity, and network security.
  • Maintain disaster recovery plans, system documentation, and network diagrams.
  • Manage company technology asset inventory and lifecycle planning.

IT Operations & Infrastructure

  • Oversee daily IT operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and secure workflows.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, plotters, scanners, and other office equipment.
  • Manage software deployments, updates, and installations, including BIM/CAD-related tools.
  • Assign and manage IT licenses for staff.
  • Review and evaluate hardware/software requirements for system compatibility.

Support & User Services

  • Serve as the primary onsite technical support contact for all staff.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Ensure technology operations effectively support architectural and engineering workflows
